Bryn Jenkins

Black Belt


Bryn is the Head Coach at CF24 Jiu Jitsu and teaches the majority of the classes. Bryn has been training Jiu Jitsu since 2009 and has been a full-time athlete since 2013. Bryn is one of Europe’s top competitors and is an IBJJF European Championship medallist, 3 x British Champion, 2 x British No Gi Champion and multiple National titles. Bryn has competed in professional events such as POLARIS 9 where he won ‘athlete of the night’ and COPA PODIO where he secured the fastest submission in 24 seconds.

Omied Khakshour

Black Belt


Omied has been training Jiu Jitsu since 2009 and has been coaching since 2011. He finished 2015 as one of the top UKBJJA ranked purple belts after a year of competition success including British Open Finalist and National Champion. Omied is the Head Instructor at CF24 Swansea and also teaches the Submission Grappling in Cardiff.

Kane Charig

BWA Level 2 Wrestling Coach


Coach Kane heads up our wrestling programme, he has over 20 years judo experience and 8 years freestyle wrestling experience. Kane is a Judo blackbelt and was part of the Great Britain judo squad, as well as being a professional Judo athlete for Asahi Spremberg, Germany. Having turned his focus to freestyle wrestling Kane reached the final of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Other achievements include Commonwealth Championships medallist and British Open champion in 2016 and multiple time British closed and national champion.

Luis Brauner

Black Belt First Degree


Luis is the head instructor at our Newport affiliate and teaches morning classes at Cardiff. His Jiu Jitsu training began in 2004 in his homeland, Brazil. Luis also has experience teaching in Miami and Lisbon. He’s been active on the competition circuit since moving to Cardiff, picking up a National title and a medal at the 2019 British Championships.

Ben Robson

Ben runs the kids’ program and leg locks class at Cardiff. He started training Jiu Jitsu in 2011 and has gained an impressive competition record. Key achievements include 5 x British champion, Grapple ASIA absolute medallist and FIGMA national champion. Ben is also active in the popular Sub-Only scene featuring on POLARIS, SAPATEIRO, GRAPPLEFEST, PANTHEON and BATTLE GRAPPLE

Ellie Vipond

Ellie runs the Durability program which is dedicated to enhancing recovery and decreasing injuries in athletes. Ellie became interested in human movement and studied dance from a young age then transitioned to competitive powerlifting before finding her true passion in Jiu Jitsu. Being a strong advocate of human performance and recovery methods, Ellie was driven to further educate herself. She has since completed Mobility WOD level 1 certication and also became an ONNIT ACADEMY CERTIFIED Durability coach.
